WHAT'S YOUR WAR?

I am at war with the obvious. As an artist I aim to make work about ambiguity and perception. It seems that most people don’t actually pay attention to the world we live in. We normalize and ignore, never bothering to explore the tiny worlds that exist around us. I have chosen to work within a medium that is by nature factual and indexical. The question of how to make images that factually represent the world while still embodying wonder and possibility has been one of my main lines of artistic inquiry. My practice is one of deconstruction in an attempt to uncover the overlooked.
