"I met Sarah many years ago when I asked her to exhibit her powerful,
text-based works in an urbanism series I was curating. I was impressed
then by her seriousness of purpose, which was paired with a lovely
curiosity about people and places. It was wonderful to have her guest
curate a large scale exhibit for Gallery Aferro in 2018, she was a
pleasure to work with and the exhibit was very well received. Most
notably, though, Sarah approaches culture work with an ethos many
people allude to, but few actually manifest deeply: curating as
community. Her enthusiasm, deep care for all details, genuine interest
in other people, and achievement, in terms of really bringing together
Newark and Baltimore-based artists in a substantive and thoughtful
way, are evidence of her style, and her capacities."

Ingrid Murray, Grants and Annual Fund Coordinator

"Sarah was incredibly helpful in providing structure as I developed my strategy for fundraising at a young nonprofit. She provided a much needed listening ear to the challenges that come with being a new Executive Director, and was always ready with ideas to cultivate funder relationships and navigate the Baltimore philanthropic space. With her help I now feel more confidant pursuing our goals."

- Liz Cornish, Executive Director
