Black Panther: Rank and File
2007

In 2007 Maryland Institute College of Art hosted the exhibition Black Panther: Rank and File. As part of this exhibition the MA in Community Arts class of 2008 collaborated on conducting oral histories of several former Black Panther Party members.  These interviews were included at listening stations throughout the exhibition. The class also organized a series of community events in room 419.  The banners pictured below were fabricated to bring attention to the additional programming in 419. Copies of the Black Panther Party interviews were given to Decker Library (MICA).

Participating MA in Community Arts students: Marissa Berk-Smith, Rebecca DiMeo, Maitreyi Doshi, Desiree Duell, Jamie Jones, Sarah McCann, Kursten Pickup, Christina Ralls, Nora Scheff, David Sloan, and Marissa Yelnick.
